This antenna is designed to look like a standard car radio antenna, looking very similar to the "bee-sting" type radio aerials factory fitted to many cars.
Because of it's design it needs to be mounted through a hole in a body panel (usually roof) so it's a permanant fixing although the aerial itself detaches for going through carwashes etc.
